Ostaad (Master)Farhang Sharif (born 1931) in Amol, northern Iran is a well-known Iranian musician and renowned taar (Persian lute) player who has spent more than 70 years of his life on this exclusively Persian musical instrument.Sharif performed his first ever live solo program on the radio when he was barely 10 years old.
